Wednesday Evening Workshop, 6 pm
Name Tags with Bonnie Hunter.
Have fun making a name tag for yourself and save the 25¢
fine each
month for not wearing one. The chickadee design is made using
a fusible appliqué technique and some simple quilting.

"Valentine Tea" for residents of Calais
Methodist Homes, 2 pm.
Guild members will greet, seat, and serve the residents
tea and goodies and provide show and tell of old and new quilts; but, we
need your help.

popular workshop at last fall's quilters retreat at Greenland Point and many
members have asked us to repeat it during a Saturday workshop.

Wednesday Evening Workshop, 6 pm
Anti-Ouch Pouch with Liz Trouant. We've received a
request from St. Joseph's Hospital in Bangor for another supply of
these soothing pillows. Anti-Ouch Pouches hang from the
shoulder, fitting snugly under the arm to cushion the area after
breast surgery or during radiation treatment. If you're unable
to attend the workshop, consider making some pouches at home.

Forget-Me-Not skills builder with Joline Cook, Theresa
Wright, Peggy Sawyer, and Bonnie Hunter. A wallhanging
designed by Patricia Knoechel (Eleanor Burns' sister) features a
pieced background, appliquéd bias vine, leaves, 3-D flowers as well
as machine quilting, a scalloped border and bias binding.

Triangle (HST) Paper
(the Edyta Sitar way) with Bonnie Hutner. See how easy
it is to make 28 HST at one time. Then take a sample sheet
home, make your own HSTs and bring them back for a Triangle
Block Exchange in May.

Annual Shop Hop (part
of the annual Maine Quilt Shop Hop)
Here we go again—Sue
McIver has planned a fabulous Shop Hop for us; we're going to take a bus to
southern Maine to some great
shops:
- Knight's Quilt Shop, Cape Neddick
- Kathie's Quilting Shoppe, Sanford
- Alewives Fabric, Nobelboro
Everyone will need to bring a bag lunch and money to have
dinner at a restaurant in the area. Please also bring a wrapped gift
for a swap. There will be a cash drawing for each of
the shops and a Grand Prize drawing. The total
cost is $52. A deposit of $25 is due to Sue by February 15, with the
balance of $27 due by March 15.

Eckmeier, author of Accidental Landscapes. We’ll be
making a 4-block sampler to learn this technique.

Join us for a mysteriously, fun day working with strip sets, squares and
rectangles to create an easy, lap-size quilt during our One-Day Mystery
Quilt Workshop. All it takes is a jelly roll, Bali pop, or equivalent:

Another indispensable quilting tool to make is the Hot Iron Caddy
with Bonnie Hunter. Unplug your iron, draw up the mat
around it into a neat carry bag. Carry it home, no need to
wait while it cools!

Program will be Secrets of
Successful Pressing with Liz Trouant, who will show how your
piecing accuracy will improve immediately when you take a bit of
time to press your quilt blocks after every step of the construction
process. Pressing may seem like an extra step, but you'll love the
payoff in time saved because your quilt blocks will fit together
just like they should when it's time to assemble the quilt.
