The Scoop

We had a great time at our March meeting.  We had a pound party auction to benefit our general fund.  We made $286.  We also exchanged our monthly projects of a book with a homemade bookmark.

For our April meeting, we are having a Junk Auction.  Bring anything you would like to get rid of, doesn't have to be quilting-related.  We are also making needle wallets to exchange.  Just put it in a paper bag and we will swap them. Thank you to Mary Louise for all the great easy monthly project ideas.

It was decided that Sue McIver and Val would swap officer positions.

We will still have Chat 'n Sew before the April 3rd meeting and on Wednesday, March 20th. Both start at 10 am but you can come whenever it works for you.

Hospice quilts and the Teddy Bear donations are due at the May meeting.  Any small stuffed animal is acceptable.

Both Sides of the Border and Beyond

St. Croix International Quilters, was organized in 1982 and currently has approximately 60 enthusiastic members from both sides of the US/Canadian border at Calais, Maine, and St. Stephen, New Brunswick, plus women from the Machias, Maine area.  Our members are quilters at all levels―most are beginner or intermediate quilters.  We have a few members who have taught quilting classes and some who are very advanced but we all learn something from each other, regardless of our own skill level.

For details about any of our workshops and meetings, check the calendar page.  Feel free to join us at meetings that may be of interest to you; try us out.  Workshops are open to the public as space permits.  You may enjoy yourself so much you'll decide to join our group.
